Abstract

Single incidence beam reflection spectroscopy at an interface of a transparent dielectric and an atomic gas has become a new tool for the study of atom-wall interactions[1] or the investigation of optical dense samples.[2] Selective reflection spectroscopy by using a pump-probe scheme should be a more sensitive method of probing of the velocity dependence of the internal atomic states.[3,4]
