Abstract
Laser theory offered interesting problems which are dealt with general theoretical methods such as description through Heisenberg-Langevin equation, quantum-mechanical Fokker-Planck equations quantum density matrix technique, the method of the operator projection onto a set of microscopical variables, Wigner distribution function representation and related methods, method of the Green functions (called in quantum optics the coherence functions due to some historical reasons) and so on, and by a number of very specific methods for each specific area of the laser theory applications.
