Abstract
The quantum problem of the travelling of optical pulses in non-linear fibers with dispersion is solved in terms of evolution of 1-dimensional gas of 5-interacting particles.[1] Ref. 2 discusses the dependence of the mean value of the photon density versus the coordinate for several moments of time and concludes: “Quantum fluctuations annihilate the optical soliton”. This report is to qualify this conclusion and to clarify the question on the stability of soliton-like superpositional states.
