Abstract
Since the size quantization of electron and hole states in a semiconductor microcrystallite leads the concentration of the oscillator strength within discrete states, microcrystallites have potentially large optical nonlinearities. It is fundamentally important to investigate the spectral width of the exciton transition, which is shown to have significant contributions from the exciton-LO-phonon interactions at high temperatures (≥ 50 K).
