Abstract
The B-X electronic transition of the halogen molecules is known as a potential system for a new powerful short wavelength chemical laser. With this aim, over a number of years the authors carry out theoretical and experimental pre-laser studies of the kinetics and mechanism of the chlorine atoms radiative recombination for the Cl2(B-X) system pumping and population inversion formation by the method of heating - fast cooling of the medium.[1,2]
