Abstract

The possibility of squeezing in a finite super position of photon-number states has been first established using binomial states[1]. It has been shown (cf.[2]) that linear superpositions of the vacuum state with a one-photon state or a two-photon state lead to minimal variances of the â1 quadrature equal to 3/16 and 3/4-3/(2√6) respectively.
