Abstract

Excimer lasers are widely used light sources in science and technology. The pulse shape of excimer lasers is normally rather complex, showing a slight cavity round trip time modulation. The direct generation of short excimer laser pulses by Q switching or mode locking is seriously limited by the excited state absorption of dyes.[1]
