Abstract

We study the characteristics, stability and robustness of vectorial optical vortices in a Type-II OPO model describing the interaction of pump, signal and idler when the pump field is not resonated. Mean field equations have been obtained for the two orthogonal and linearly polarised amplitudes Ax and Ay of the signal and idler fields where Δ is the effective detuning, ax, ay are the diffraction coefficients, µ is proportional to the pump amplitude, and σ is the nonlinear coupling coefficient.
