Enhancement of Second Harmonic Generation in Layered Media out of Phase Matching conditions

Abstract

We show that, under particular conditions, second harmonic generation efficiency in layered structures may be hugely enhanced maximizing field’s overlap at the expenses of phase matching conditions.
