Abstract

We describe a method of determining the thermal parameters of the non-erasable phase-change recording media based on a set of experimental data and related numerical calculations [1]. For convenience, throughout this paper, we will omit the units of the thermal conductivity and the specific heat; their units will be [joul. °C^-1 · cm^-1 · sec^-1] and [joul. °C^-1 ·cm^-3], respectively.
