Abstract

Vortex modes, eigen modes with phase singularities such as the Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) modes, carry an annular spatial form and an orbital angular momentum characterized by an azimuthal index (topological charge) ℓ. They have been intensely investigated in the fundamental sciences and advanced technologies, such as chiral materials fabrications and under-water telecommunications [3,4]
