Combined Digital In-Line Holography and Particle Image Velocimetry Diagnostics of Dust Clouds Prior to Ignition

Abstract

Two advanced laser methods are used to study dust cloud ignitability in standard ignition testing devices. DIH and PIV are combined for quantitative particle and flow characteristics inside the explosion tube prior to ignition.
