Q-switched Fiber Laser Based on the Kerr Effect of Multimode Interference Effect

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We demonstrated an all-fiber passively Q-switched Er-Yb codoped fiber laser using a single mode-multimode-single mode fiber structure based on the multimode interference effect. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of the Q-switched fiber laser based on a SMS structure.
