Detection of the Orbital Angular Momentum State of Light using Sinusoidally-shaped Phase Grating

Abstract

Using phase-only spatial light modulator a unique sinusoidally-shaped phased grating for efficient, robust and nearly alignment free detection of the orbital angular momentum (OAM) of optical vortices up to OAM=150 is demonstrated.
