Moire Contouring Using CCD Cameras

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Projection Moire Contouring of difuse objects is shown using the discreet sampling mature of CCD detector arrays as a Moire grading. Phase detection techniques allow the determination of the surface height of an object at each detector location to small fractions of the projected grading period. The surface height information over this uniform grid is independant of illumination variations on the object, and thus accurate contour measurements can be made.
