Abstract
Properties of human photoreceptor alignment can be studied noninvasively by measuring the Stiles-Crawford effect (SCE), a psychophysical determination of the relative efficiency of light in eliciting a visual response as a function of pupil entry. Typical data are graphically displayed in Figure 1 as filled circles.
