Measurement of Equivalent Zero-Dispersion Wavelength Distribution for Capacity Increase in FWM-limited Networks

Abstract

An equivalent zero-dispersion wavelength distribution of a DSF span is derived from degenerate FWM measurements and genetic algorithm optimization. The resulting distribution forms the input to channel allocation routines which maximize capacity on FWM-limited fibers.
