Measurement of nonlinear-optical parameters in semiconductor doped glass waveguides

Abstract

Semiconductor doped glasses (SDG) have gained considerable interest for nonlinear guided wave applications, because they show relatively large nonlinearities with ps-response times. Quantum size effects in SDG can possibly enlarge the nonlinearities.
