Abstract

Using high concentration Er/Yb co-doped phosphate fiber, we generated 6.6 W output from a 7.0-cm long fiber laser with M2 of 3.5. 4 W emission was obtained from a 7.1-cm single-mode fiber laser with diffraction-limited output.
