Abstract

Ultrafast decay of optical phonon has been studied in wide-bandgap BaSnO3 and SrTiO3 perovskites using a nonlinear spectroscopic technique. Measured phonon decay rates are within 1.4 – 2.3ps-1and can be explained within the framework of parametric phonon interactions.
