Coherent Phonon Decay in Semiconducting BaSnO3

Abstract

Decay of coherent phonons has been directly traced on femtosecond time scale in technologically important BaSnO3 semiconducting crystal using coherent Raman technique. Ultrafast decay mechanisms are being discussed within the framework of parametric phonon interactions.
