Abstract

This paper reviews recent progress in nonlinear materials for frequency conversion of high power lasers to the UV-visible portion of the spectrum. Recent developments include some new data on old materials, the discovery of some new nonlinear materials, and development of systematic analytic procedures, together with appropriate databases, for the selection and optimization of materials for a particular application.
