Properties of 1.55 µm High Gain Polarization Insensitive MQW Semiconductor Laser Amplifiers

Abstract

Compared with bulk-SLAs polarization insensitive MQW-SLAs are more suitable for switching applications due to higher output power, shorter carrier lifetime and smaller linewidth enhancement factor.
