Generation of low-repetition rate high-energy picosecond pulses from a single-wall carbon nanotube mode-locked fiber laser

Abstract

By increasing the cavity length of a carbon nanotube-based passively mode-locked fiber laser, we demonstrate the generation of a high-energy (2.5 nJ), near transform-limited picosecond pulse train at a fundamental repetition rate of 1.77 MHz.
