The institutional contribution: what the Optical Society of America can do

Abstract

In recent years, the American Association of Physics Teachers has developed several programs for working with primary and secondary school teachers. A number of these involve summer workshops with active interaction with one teacher. These programs provide one type of institutional model for professional society contribution to early science education.
