Abstract
The scattering of sunlight in the atmosphere is responsible for many beautiful sky effects. Some of these effects are a familiar part of our daily lives—the blue sky, red sunsets, and white clouds. A number of other scattering effects are less well known but can be seen by those who look. This presentation, with photographs and demonstrations, deals with naked-eye effects that we all can see.
