N2(A) generation in the H + NF2 system

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The results of a study to evaluate the H + NF2 system as a generator of electronically excited N2(A) will be presented. The following kinetic measurements will be described: where atomic resonance absorption spectrometry and optical emission spectroscopy were employed to monitor the concentrations of species as a function of time in a fast-flow reactor. The measurement of peak concentrations for production of N2(B), N2(A), and NF(a), with and without the presence of excess H2, will be reported.
