Abstract

Tunable narrowband spectral filters are useful in many applications. A new electrooptically tunable narrowband (0.01 nm in some cases) spectral filter which combines the characteristics of a Fabry-Perot filter and a folded Sole filter, called the Fabry-Perot/Solc filter, is described. The design is based on the three-layer multiple-pass filter proposed by Williamson.1
