Monolithic phase-locked arrays of semiconductor diode lasers

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

High-power (≧200-mW) diffraction-limited beam operation is obtained from two novel types of ten-element device: (1) evanescently coupled interferometric arrays that operate solely in the out-of-phase mode; (2) leaky-wave-coupled arrays of closely spaced antiguides. Results and principles of operation are discussed.
