Abstract

Up to now, the typical optical system for pseudocolor-encoding processing is a Fourier-transform system which is usually called a 4-f system. A new optical processing system with a reflecting filter and just one single Fourier transform lens is presented. The authors also give the satisfactory experimental results of pseudocolor photos for some medical x-ray films and analyze its principle theoretically. As we use the reflecting system of double-beam or a more than two-beam optical system, the synthetic technique1 of different preprocessing for each individual path may be utilized effectively.
