GRIN rod lenses fabricated by solgel

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

An interesting application of solgel processes is the fabrication of gradient index rod lenses, so called GRIN rods. Unlike lenses made by the ion exchange process, the gradients are formed due to compositional variations of nonsingle valence ions such as titanium, zirconium, or lead.
