Abstract

Frequency modulation spectroscopy1 (FMS) with semiconductor diode lasers has emerged as a rapid, ultrasensitive method for detection of numerous trace molecular species. Since it combines high detection speed with high sensitivity and is easily implemented with diode lasers, FMS is a natural technique to use in a number of air quality monitoring applications.
