Abstract
The correlation matrix–tensor multiplier (CMTM) algorithm can be used to perform two-dimensional array interconnection by transmitting the input image through a phase-code mask and correlating it with a control image containing the encoded interconnection values. The control image can be manipulated (for example, by choosing an appropriate phase code or by truncating the control image to binary phase) to match the space–bandwidth product and type of the available display technology.
