Abstract

Photorefractive strontium barium niobate (SrxBa1-xNb2O6) (SBN), is an attractive material for photorefractive applications because of its large Γ33 electro-optic coefficient. Although SBN crystals with various dopants have been studied,1-3 a systematic study of the effects of increasing dopant concentration on the photorefractive properties of SBN has not been done.
