Point response function measurements of Hughes liquid-crystal light valve

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We have made direct measurements of the point response function of a Hughes liquid crystal light valve. The measurements were made by illuminating the input with selected patterns and apertures and looking at the output patterns. We have also measured the overlap between two spots to find the spot separation required for uncorrelated operation.
