An angiosurgery system using a tripled Nd:YAG laser

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We describe an integrated system for laser treatment of atherosclerosis using 355-nm radiation for ablation and visible light for spectroscopic diagnosis and guidance. Both spectroscopy and ablation share the same fibers in a unique catheter design.
