Abstract

Ultrafast logic gates based on soliton dragging in high bandwidth fiber system have already been shown to be possible.1 For such fiber-based logic systems, the generalized exclusive-OR (GEO) module has been identified as its natural basis.2 The fundamental building block of a GEO module consists of an exclusive-OR (XOR) gate and two AND gates. In this current work, we consider a novel approach and design a ripple carry full adder circuit by using the Boolean and connectivity complete nature of GEO module. Also we extend this technique for designing an M×N multiplier.
