Tunable optical multiple-quantum-well notch filter

Abstract

A tunable Fabry-Perot optical multiple quantum well notch filter, consisting of strained InGaAs/GaAs multiple quantum well (MQW) layers, is shown to yield a high contrast ratio (> 1200:1) as well as wide tuning range (>10 nm).
