Abstract

It is shown that optical helical distributed feedback may cause the appearence of the multistability in transmission and reflection of the laser light by the cholesteric liquid crystal (CLG) (where helical distributed feedback laser was proposed /1/ and realized /2/) show that multistability may be realized with the intensities 1 kW/cm2 with response time 10–9 sec.
