Abstract

In the past few years, with so much active work on magneto-optic memories, significant progress in both recording media and system performance has been made. In fact, magneto-optic memories are now at the practical stage for application to digital audio, and digital data file memories including still video file memories, where the recording bit rate is comparatively low.
