Wideband EDFA for Multi wavelength Transmission Networks

Abstract

We review main subjects of wideband EDFAs and corresponding developed technologies. We also propose a novel wideband EDFA with a mid­attenuator for ALC and confirm its expected performance in a 4-channel WDM experiment.
