Abstract

The future deployment of optical fibre and optical networks in Australia is intimately linked to future developments in the Australian Telecommunications Industry. This industry, in common with the world-wide telecommunications industry, has experienced rapid change and it is certain that it will experience more change, more competition, more players, more “convergence”, more growth, more uncertainty, more fun, more “living in interesting times” !!
