Tiny Light Modulating Elements for 30 GHz Operation to build Integrated Optic Functional Devices

Abstract

A use of tiny light modulating elements is proposed to build various functional devices for operations in microwave and millimeter-wave regions. A light modulator consisting of four elements was build and tested for 820 nm. At 30.5 GHz, measured half-wave voltage was 1.9 V.
