Abstract

The high speed and low driving voltage Multiple-Quantum Well Mach Zehender modulator designed for the long haul and wide band transmission system was presented. The clear chirping switching characteristics by adjusting the bias voltage and a 10 Gb/s more than 80 km normal fiber transmission within 1 dB dispersion penalty by using negative chirp modulation were successfully demonstrated.
