Abstract
We propose an architecture for a nonblocking wavelength switch using multiwavelength conversion devices based on difference frequency generation or four wave mixing. The architecture is composed of a multistage wavelength shuffle network employing simultaneous multiple wavelength conversion. The new architecture requires fewer devices to construct the wavelength switch.
