Abstract

The DQDB network is the Metroplitan Area Network, and is used to realize a new all optical lightwave network. The current developments of Wavelength Division Multiplex and optical components like laser, receivers are expected to be widespreadly used for upgrading the network capacity to meet the high-bandwidth demands services. In this study a DLNet is proposed as a second generation of metropolitan area network. Includes also the scale-up region for the network capacity which is obtained from it virtual network topology.
