Abstract

Fiber Bragg gratings enable the fabrication of optical communication components such as chirped fiber Bragg grating dispersion compensators, WDM devices and Bragg grating stabilized single frequency laser sources. This paper will discuss the fabrication of fiber gratings and their applications in optical fiber communications.
