Abstract

The burst/packet preamplifier and instantaneous clock/data recovery IC’s used in the PON-RX module were packaged in low cost packages and mounted on a PWB with other components. The intrinsic module RX sensitivity at 50 Mb/s and power consumption were -42 dB and 190 mW, respectively.
