Demonstration of Semiconductor Optical Amplifier with Low Beam Divergence and Its Application to Lensless Module

Abstract

The semiconductor optical amplifier with beam divergence as low as 10 degree in both the horizontal and vertical directions has been demonstrated. The lensless module with the gain larger than 20 dB has been obtained.
