Abstract

The traditional approach in analyzing network reliability is to determine end-to-end availability for a few reference connections. A major benefit of this approach is a reduction in computation time. This approach is valid for the traditional electrical telecommunication network because major failure contributions generally come from the station (or node) equipment boxes.
